In early September, commemorative ceremonies were held in Nova Scotia to mark the 25th anniversary of the Swissair Flight 111 tragedy. VAC Minister Ginette Petitpas Taylor accompanied a delegation of current and former CAF and RCMP members, Coast Guard personnel, first responders, volunteers, and a few family members of the victims, to the events. They participated in ceremonies held to honour the memory of the 229 lives lost and recognize those who helped in the aftermath of the tragedy.
