The first stone of the Noorderkerk - built by the city carpenter Hendrick Staets - was laid on June 15, 1622 and put into use on April 16, 1623. After the completion of the Noorderkerk in 1623, the name Noordermarkt replaced the name given by the city council. Source: https://www.noordermarkt-amsterdam.nl... Govaert Flink Govaert Flinck moved to the Lauriergracht in 1644, where his nephew Dirck already lived, and lived there until his death.[10] He bought two adjacent houses, numbers 76 and 78.[11] He initially worked at, and later took over from Rembrandt the management of, Hendrick Uylenburgh's workshop that was located on the canal.
