Successful 2021 NAfME All-National Band/Orchestra Audition, Trumpet, Bozza "Rustiques"

UPDATE: I got 3rd trumpet in the All-National Symphony Orchestra!!!! I would like to thank my directors Mr. Cole, Mr. Paulsen, and my director from last year Miss Scott for your advice and attention to me. I would like to thank my private instructor Dr. Erik Mahon and instructors from my past: Mr. Kevin Linder and Mr. Kevin Massey! Thank you all! ---- Hello all! This is the optional piece for the 2021 NAfME All-National Band/Orchestra entitled "Rustiques" by Eugene Bozza. (If you get an ad, it is because Bozza still has a copyright on his original work.) I love the opening of the piece, which reminds me of a lone trumpeter in the middle of a meadow (perhaps playing to some cows, who knows?) and hearing the echo of his/her horn from the distance as the sun rises through the trees and clouds. It has the power to speak of "letting freedom ring" and liberation. Over this past summer and the beginning of the school year, I have learned so much from going through the NAfME All-National Band/Orchestra process. Even if I do not make it, I am thankful for the music education I have received in preparation for this audition.
