Lufthansa First Class and Business Class Travel Day. Manchester to Johannesburg via Frankfurt

A photo and video montage of a trip that almost didn't happen. Overnight snow in Manchester meant a huge amounts of delays and cancellations however we were lucky that our first flight to Frankfurt was onef the first flights able to land and leave Manchester. Our trip took us from Manchester to Johannesburg in Lufthansa and then Johannesburg to Cape Town on South African Airways. Leg 1 - Manchester to Frankfurt in Lufthansa Business. Short positioning leg, decent journey to Frankfurt in Business Class. Leg 2 - Frankfurt to Johannesburg in Lufthansa First Class. We entered Germany just so we could check out the first class terminal. It is a stunning place to spend a few hours before being driven to your flight. Our first experience of Lufthansa first class was an overnight trip down to Johannesburg. Food and drink were good, service was efficient and was a very comfortable way to get to South Africa. Leg 3 - Johannesburg to Cape Town in South African Airways Business. Our last leg of the outbound journey was in SAA Business to Cape Town. We were really surprised how good a journey this was, great staff and really comfortable seats. Food and drink was good and a nice way to get to our final destination.
