Solo Camping in the Mountain with Dangerous Rain & Winds | Hilleberg Soulo in Storm Conditions

This was a tough camp. I had the opportunity to squeeze in one last trip before the new year, but I knew that meant dealing with some serious weather. Before heading out, I studied the topography of the area and chose a campsite based on the forecasted wind directions. Plan A: find a sheltered spot from the SW/S winds Plan B: trust the Hilleberg Soulo to do what it does best Plan C: pack up and get off the mountain As long as the winds came from the predicted direction, everything was going smoothly. The terrain provided the shelter I had planned for, and the camp was comfortable, I even made myself a nice meal 😀. But when the winds unexpectedly shifted in the middle of the night and began coming from an unforecasted direction, I had to fall back on Plan B … what a beast of a tent 🙌⛺️. Furthermore, the heavy rainfall caused the waterways to swell, creating additional challenges on the way down the mountain, but everything turned out fine. This is certainly a camp I won’t be forgetting anytime soon! Hope you enjoy watching the video.
