Plumbing an All Season Water System at My Off Grid Cabin

In this video, I build an all season water/plumbing system at my off grid cabin in the woods. Using PEX pipe and brass fittings, I install fittings and shutoffs in a low point box buried in the dirt in the crawl of my cabin. I then create a custom manifold connecting all of the pipes inside the box, making sure to slope everything downhill to allow for a gravity drain to the low point. For good measure, I also install 2 compressed air fittings (1 for the hot water, 1 for the cold water) which allows me to insert compressed air into the system and push any remaining standing water within the pipes out the exterior & interior faucets. This will guarantee a complete flush of the system, eliminating the possibility of burst pipes due to freezing standing water withing the system. Thanks for watching!
