Hi guys! Welcome to Truly Pilates!!! This video is Pilates for scoliosis! Scoliosis is a spinal medical condition that affects 2-3% of the population within the UK. Scoliosis can differ greatly from patient to patient. In order to have a medical diagnosis the curvature must be above 10 degrees, although if you are under this your osteopath or physical therapist may have also diagnosed a scoliosis. It is really important to strengthen the muscles surrounding the spine in order to give the spine the most support that we can, whilst being aware of the curvatures through the spine. This workout will help to build those spinal muscles up to give your back the most support you can! Be sure to check with your health care professional before taking part in any exercise!
