DELHI POLICE PRESS RELEASE DESPERATE ROBBER WANTED IN A ROBBERY CUM MURDER CASE & ANOTHER CASE OF ABDUCTION CUM ROBBERY ARRESTED BY CRIME BRANCH  ACCUSED WANTED IN A SENSATIONAL ROBBERY CUM MURDER CASE OF PS MOTI NAGAR, DELHI ARRESTED.  ALSO DECLARED PROCLAIMED OFFENDER IN ANOTHER ABDUCTION CUM ROBBERY CASE OF PS MUNDKA, DELHI.  ACCUSED IS BC OF PS SHAHBAD DAIRY AND HAVING NINE PREVIOUS INVOLVEMENTS.  ACCUSED RELEASED ON INTERIM BAIL, AND NEVER SURRENDERED INTRODUCTION: Crime Branch, Northern Range-I has arrested one desperate robber/murderer/PO namely Ashok Kumar, age-40 years r/o Shahbad Dairy, Delhi, who was wanted in robbery cum murder case and has been declared Proclaimed Offender in another abduction cum robbery case. He is BC of PS Shahbad Dairy. GIST OF INCIDENT: On 11.04.2020, accused Ashok Kumar got interim bail from Ld. Court but thereafter, he never surrendered. During absconding period, he along with his associates, Rajesh, Kuldeep @ Sonu, Vicky @ China, Kanhaiya @ Paglu and Amit @ Postik @ Raiky robbed a person namely Jitender @ Jeetu when he resisted, he was brutally murdered at Jakheera in the area of PS Moti Nagar, Delhi. In the incident, victim was robbed of his cash Rs. 1,83,000/-. His other associates have already been arrested but he was evading arrest in the case since then. On 22.03.2023, he was also declared Proclaimed Offender in another case of abduction cum robbery case of the year 2014 of PS Mundka in which a loaded truck along with its driver was hijacked and taken to some unknown place. The driver was released only after robbing him of his cash Rs. 40,000/-. INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION: The team of Crime Branch has been assigned to arrest the absconding/wanted desperate accused persons involved in heinous cases. In this process, the team was given task to apprehend the present accused. In the process of tracing his whereabouts, secret sources were deployed and technical surveillance was mounted. After days of consistent watch on the family members, it was revealed that absconding accused used to visit his house every few months and it is expected that he would come to Delhi in coming days. In the continuation of these manual inputs received by HC Vikas Dabas, one more specific input that accused is coming from Azamgarh, UP by bus at ISBT Anand Vihar, Delhi and will further move to Haryana, was received. On the basis of inputs, a team comprising SI Manish, HC Vikas Dabas, HC Mandeep and HC Neeraj headed by Insp. Ajay Sharma, under the close supervision of ACP/NR-I Sh. Vivek Tyagi was constituted by undersigned to nab wanted accused. Team has raided the place of information from where accused Ashok Kumar was apprehended. Initially the accused did not disclose his involvement in any of criminal cases but on sustained interrogation he confessed. PROFILE OF ACCUSED: Accused Ashok Kumar was born in Delhi. He studied upto 5th class from a government school. He left studies and felt into bad company. In order to earn quick money, he started committing crimes since 2006. Several criminal cases are registered against him in Delhi. He was arrested in robbery cases of Mundka and Paschim Vihar police stations in 2014 and 2019. When he was in jail in a case of Burari in 2020, he got interim bail in April 2020 but he never surrendered. In November 2020, he along with his associates committed robbery with a boy near Jakhira flyover and when victim resisted, he along with other associates, murdered him and fled away from there. Since then, he was hiding himself evading his arrest. On 2023, he was also declared Proclaimed Offender from Ld. Court in a robbery cum abduction case of PS Mundka. CASES WORKED OUT: 1.
