For today’s video, we’re discussing rage-quitting. __ If you're unfamiliar with the term, "rage quitting" means to become so angry or frustrated with your job that you "ghost" your employer, abandon your job without a traditional 2-week notice (aka quitting on the spot), or leave in a shocking way. People rage quit for a number of reasons. Some include: Mental Health: Maybe their job is triggering their depression, anxiety, or overall compromising their psychological well-being. Poor Management or Leadership: Perhaps their boss, manager, or executives are problematic or make poor decisions. Conflict: Friction and tension between bosses and co-workers. Being overworked: If the person is working way above 40 hours per week and is experiencing burn-out and/or doesn't have a work/life balance. Feeling undervalued: Not being recognized appropriately for their hard work and contributions. And as a matter of fact, I even did it! So, should you do it? It depends. Of course, it's not the most professional way to leave a job, but sometimes you're just past being the bigger person. Here are some questions to ask yourself if you're considering rage quitting and if you should do it. ___ Want more career content from me?
