We played at the band heats for Stand Up Stand Out on Wednesday and we had a massive blast there. This is the official video for our performance of then. Funny story: The results came out a yesterday (Friday) and it said we had not advanced to the semi-finals in the band category. The entire band was shook, we really thought we actually did great - good enough to get to the semis. We were all in disbelief, especially Kaizer, he was really upset by the turnout. But then, when all hope seemed lost, Kaizer refreshed his Instagram feed and saw a new post from the Stand Up Stand Out Instagram page: Best Original Composition. He pressed the read more button and found that Chopstix did not advance to the semis because of how tight the band was but instead, how good the song we wrote was. HE WAS SHOCKED! He messaged everyone that he had told Chopstix had not made it before and corrected his previous announcement. "FALSE ALARM, WE MADE IT!!!" Truly a rollercoaster for sure.
