Hi everyone and welcome back to another episode of the Gap Year Diaries! If you’re new here — hi, I’m Ryme, a solo traveler backpacking across Southeast Asia during my gap year 🤍 Siargao was my final stop after one month in the Philippines… and wow, what an ending. Between chaotic tropical storms, the most beautiful sunsets, learning how to surf, café-hopping during nonstop rain, road-tripping around the island, and making some of my favorite memories of the whole trip!🇵🇭 In this vlog, I take you with me as I learn to surf at Cloud Nine and other spots, get absolutely drenched by the unpredictable Siargao weather, explore the island on a motorbike and get a little lost in the north, try some of my favorite cafés and restaurants (I’ve included a full list in the video), and experience the bittersweet feeling of saying goodbye after a month here. I also share my final Philippines itinerary and recommendations for anyone planning a trip. I really hope you enjoy this last chapter of my Philippines journey.
