Title: Super Blue Blood Moon – The Event! Description: On the 31st of January, 2018, a spectacular Total Lunar Eclipse occurred, and it was too good an opportunity not to mark the occasion with a free public event in one of the most ideal viewing locations – Perth, Western Australia. Hosted by The Gravity Discovery Centre and Astronomy Education Services, this event drew thousands of interested people to the Hertha Road Reserve in Stirling, WA, to gaze at the Super Blue Blood Moon. Staff and Volunteers from the GDC, as well as volunteers from ICRAR, the Astronomical Group of WA, the Astronomical Society of WA, and Belmont City College provided telescopes to view the celestial phenomenon and along with many others, helped make this free community event the success it was.
