Taro Yokoyama, MD, Ph.D., is a board-certified thoracic and cardiac surgeon and has been in practice for more than 50 years. His expertise includes adult cardiac, general thoracic, adult congenital and vascular surgery. Dr. Yokoyama graduated with a medical degree from the Okayama University Medical School in 1960. He received a fellowship in Cardiovascular Surgical Research at Georgetown University Medical Center and completed a two-year clinical fellowship at the USC School of Medicine and St. Vincent Medical Center. Dr. Yokoyama has published more than forty articles in medical journals. In addition, he was the chief of thoracic and cardiovascular surgery for St. Vincent Medical Center.
