**TRIGGER WARNING** Fugitive opens fire and attempts to kill Fugitive Recovery Agent to avoid returning to prison. Newark, California Police Department and Prosecutors in Alameda County, California arrest and charge innocent man! Thank God for this video! Security footage showed the agent acted in self-defense. The fugitve was shot and killed as he tried to murder the Fugitive Recovery Agent. Wrongful arrest and prosecutions led to Wrongful Convictions! Our work continues....... #GetBitInvestigations PRESS RELEASE CHARGES DROPPED! Date: October 14, 2024 In June of 2024, I was contacted by Mr. Charles Price. Mr. Price asked for our assistance in clearing his name. He advised in the course of his duties as a Bail Fugitive Recovery Agent, he was attempting to apprehend a wanted fugitive who was possibly armed. Upon locating and contacting the wanted fugitive, the fugitive (just feet away) attempted to escape by pulling a gun out of his front waistband and firing at (and just missing by inches) Mr. Price’s head. In clear self-defense, Mr. Price returned fire and stopped the threat. After numerous interviews with Mr. Price and reviewing reports, bodycam interviews, and videos of the incident, it quickly became extremely obvious and evident Mr. Price was absolutely telling the truth as to his self-defense claim, and that the wanted fugitive’s girlfriend and friends were lying. Unbelievably, Mr. Price was wrongfully accused and wrongfully arrested for a homicide that was clearly self-defense. The armed fugitive was identified as 42-year-old Bay Area resident Richard Turner. Police said in March/2024, Turner did not appear in court while felony weapons charges were pending, which made him a fugitive. Both guns involved in the shooting were recovered to be used as evidence. The fugitive’s (Turner’s) gun was determined to be a “ghost gun,” NPD said. The Alameda County District Attorney’s Office worked with the Newark Police Department and the California Department of Insurance on the case. These three justice system entities combined to build one of the worst investigations I have ever seen in my entire career. On Friday, October 11, 2024, in an Alameda County Superior Courtroom, the case against Mr. Charles Price (Case #24-CR-004852) was rightfully dismissed by the honorable Judge Veronica Rios Reddick. The prosecutor said that per the video that captured the incident, this was self-defense. Based on our investigation, we know there were others that were actively assisting in harboring fugitive Richard Turner and attempting to help him escape during the incident. Wrongful arrests lead to wrongful convictions! Being wrongfully accused of criminal offences can lead to serious negative consequences for the innocent and their families. The “Journey” through OUR justice system can be worse than the conviction itself. OUR justice system MUST be better than this. Most won’t care until it happens to them, or someone they care about. Mr. Charles Price and his wonderful family can absolutely attest to this….and they will. Our work continues in this matter……. Respectfully, Luis A. Bolaños GETBITInvestigations.com
