How to Connect a Hihat to Roland SPD SX Pro Here is how to connect a working Hihat to a Roland SPD SX PRO electronic drum module. This gives you the ability to play the Pro almost like a mini drum kit. The hi-hat I'm using in the video is the Roland VH-11. The addition of a hi-hat offers you the 'chick' function and of course open and close functions which you can't otherwise make using just the SPD SX Pro itself. It also frees up one of the pads for an additional sound to be used. You will require a couple of extra jack to jack leads to make this setup work, but it's really not complicated and makes the Pro much nicer to play overall.
