Made with Film Maker https://play.google.com/store/apps/de... music by audionautix.com music by audionautix.com -3 lt of yogurt -1 ½ lt of lukewarm water We put them into a large pot and we add 2 hanfull of salt ❗(do not worry the quantity of salt is not big because the majority of the salt will desolve in the serum, which we will not use and throw away) We stirr a little bit not too much till the salt desolves in the yogurt ❗⚠️⚠️❗we should not whisk the mixture otherwise it will become creamy and the yogurt wont seperates from the serum) When the mixture starts to get warm ⚠️(be aware of the temperature cz we should not let the mixture boil cz then it will get the cheese texture and we wont be able to form properly the CHANKLISH balls) the yogurt will start seperating from the serum ‼️this is where we know that we are on the right track of the recipe..😊 We wait till the serum becomes clear as shown in the video So we turn off the heat, cover the pot, and wait about 12 hours till the mixture gets really cool. After that, We pour the mixture in a cloth that s put into a colander and let it drain completely before putting the colander into a bigger bowl till all the excess serum get into it and we put them in the fridge. We wait for 24 hours till all the serum gets drained from the mixture, here where we add a little more salt( depending on your taste) some chilly flakes 🥰or you can replace the chilly flakes with some paprika🤩 and we start forming our Shanklish balls in the size we prefer. Cover a tray with a clean kitchen towel and put the Shanklish balls on it and cover them with another kitchen towel Here you should pay attention to the kitchen towel ..you should change it when you feel it got wet, because it will soak all the remaing serum from the balls and make them dry faster. ❗keep the tray in the fridge. After about 3 days we test the Chanklish balls by fingers we press a little bit on them when they get firm and solid so it means they are ready to be served or preserved. We get olive oil in a bowl and dried thyme in another( you can use any dried aromatic herb you like) We cover the Shanklish balls with olive oil and then cover them with the thyme .( the olive oil makes the thyme stick to the Shanklish balls) You can serve them immediately or put them in the fridge for short consumption. 🔆🔆‼️if you want to preserve them for longer time just cover each Shanklish ball with cling film and put them in the freezer ❗this way they will last for several months. When needed remove them beforehand from the freezer and they will be ready to eat🥰😍 BON APPÉTIT!! #lebanese-food #healthy
