She fights off hordes of zombies and skulls before finding the master key. Lara kills a large skull in the main hallway, ending her nightmare. The game takes place in a nightmarish version of Croft Manor. Lara must fight off zombies of different types with limited supplies. Several doors in the manor are locked and Lara needs to locate the Master Key first in order to access all rooms and ultimately destroy all three floating Skulls of Rage in order to summon the final boss, which is the nightmarish incarnation of Lara's uncle Atlas de Mornay taking the shape of a large floating skull. Lara starts the game with only a revolver and a knife but additional weapons and ammo are scattered around the manor. Many aspects of the game are randomized, such as Lara's initial location, locations and types of additional weapons and ammo, the location of the Master Key, the selection of locked doors etc., so each run offers a different experience. Before the game starts, the player can also pick a number of additional challenges to complete during the course of the game, such as to kill 10 enemies with a headshot, to complete the game without taking any damage and so on.
