“Wait For” is officially out! First off, thank you to Jesus Christ, who gives me the songs to sing and the energy to sing them. He alone deserves the glory. Thank you to Nathan James Larsen for producing, mixing, mastering, singing backing vocals, AND helping me write this song. You have taught me so much over the two years we’ve worked on music, and I am forever grateful for how you shaped this song (I’ll be making a video about how much it changed soon). I wrote this song a while back about waiting for the guy God might have for me. Now don’t get me wrong, we are not promised a spouse. That’s not the idea for the song. It’s that I didn’t want to “date around.” I want to follow God, and have Him as first in my life. And if God didn’t have that for me, then that was okay. Even while dating now, this song applies. Boundaries are a real thing in dating! We’re called to wait. To be holy and set apart. C.S Lewis has a quote I really like. “Put first things first and second things are thrown in. Put second things first and you lose both first and second things.” That about sums it up. In order to have a healthy, Godly relationship, we have to put God first. In order to wait well we can’t sit around passively dreaming of a future spouse. We have to walk with Christ daily! Thank you all for listening, sharing and following.
