Jig Nymph - The Duracell Nymph - Fly Tying with John Murphy

In this tutorial I will be looking at the method to successfully tie the Grayling “must have” nymph pattern, the Duracell Jig Nymph. This has to be my most successful Grayling nymph. After being introduced to this pattern a number of years ago, it quickly become a staple pattern for me to catch on and quickly became my “go to” confidence pattern. It’s common practice to have one of these as my point fly. It’s a great attractor pattern in both coloured and clear water. Personally I tie these in sizes 12, 14 and 16.
