Always trying to show you the different sides of India and so I took you somewhere you probably don't think about too much when thinking of India and that is a coffee shop. Roasting and harvesting beans in the country, the roast and flavors tend to be lighter and more acidic, which was perfectly paired with a massive piece of brownie chocolate cake. When in UP, a breakfast staple is Chole Bhature, which you especially see in Delhi, but I wanted to try the Lucknow version and see if this foodie city could keep up withe Delhi's style. The contrast in flavors was insane. I really enjoyed this more home style Chole Bhature, as Delhi's was more firey and oily. When doing my research for Lucknow, basket chaat seems to be one of the most iconic things you have to eat while in Lucknow. And when they say basket, well, they should really say Bucket because this plate is huge! It's like a crazy chaat combo plate. Best when shared. After walking around and exploring the city some, I finally find a market area. I decided to let my food digest a little bit and buy some stuff. This time I met some extremely friendly sellers and I couldn't bring my heart to bargain with the locals of Lucknow as they are too friendly!!! I did bargain for some shoes, but it was all fun and games as I paid the first price he asked for, but I still won in my mind, because I got that free chai. Finally, I went to the most iconic restaurant in all of Lucknow, Tunday Kebab. You can see this place from a block away, with the masses of people gathering to eat and the sheer volume of the restaurant. I had only one thing on my mind though, Kebabs. I finally got to try the Sheermal here as well as I used it to break away these delicate little kebab morsels. Still one of my fav kebabs I have eaten in my entire life.
