A great escape, cinematic video at Dinorwic Slate Quarry. Do the things you love to escape the hustle and bustle of life! Our passion is creating cinematic films, and here we are showing you how we escape the hectic day to day in a short cinematic video. We filmed this at Dinorwic Slate Quarry in Llanberis, North Wales, using our cameras and drones to get those epic shots! Views were fantastic with plenty to see and also a great walk. We set out 2am to get there for around 5am and explored the huge quarry for 7-8 hours. Weather was perfect which was a bonus! Equipment used: • Sony A6300 (16mm/50mm Kit lens + Sigma 30mm) • Mavic Pro • 3DR Solo • zhiyun crane v2 Music: Epidemic Sound - http://www.epidemicsound.com/ A bit about Dinorwic Slate Quarry: The Dinorwic Slate Quarry is a large former slate quarry, now home to the Welsh National Slate Museum, located between the villages of Llanberis and Dinorwig in North Wales. It was the second largest slate quarry in Wales, indeed in the world, after the one in neighbouring Penrhyn. It covered more than 700 acres (2.8 km2) consisting of two main quarry sections with 20 galleries in each and a number of ancillary workings. Extensive internal tramway systems connected the quarries using inclines to transport slate between galleries.
