In this video, I explain how my contractor omitted the required wire mesh reinforcement from the concrete slab, despite the architectural plans clearly calling for it and the vehicle lift manufacturer requiring it for safety and performance. The floor was upgraded to a 5-inch, 4000 PSI concrete slab specifically to support a vehicle lift. However, during construction, the contractor skipped the wire mesh altogether—an essential structural component intended to prevent cracking and provide tensile strength.
