In this video, Partner Jennifer Behm discusses two of her recent clients that applied for TN status at the Peace Bridge port of entry located in Buffalo, New York. Both clients were applying under the Engineer designation. Both clients were recent college graduates who had viable engineer job offers from a reputable U.S. company. Even though both clients applied on the same day, they had very differing adjudication experiences. The first client had his application adjudicated right while he waited in his car. The officer had minimal questions and approved the client for the requested three-year period. The second client, however, was questioned very thoroughly and the adjudicating officer even called the signatory on the letter of support to review the employment details. Luckily, our attorneys always prepare our clients and their HR representatives for these scenarios, so our client and his HR representative were prepared. Our second client was also successfully approved for a three-year period.
