(24 Sep 1995) Natural Sound Croatian and Bosnian-Serb forces exchanged prisoners across their border on the Sava River on Saturday. In all about 200 people were exchanged, including seven Croat soldiers and nine Bosnian Serb soldiers taken prisoner in recent fighting. It was here on the banks of the Sava River, on the Bosnian-Croatian border that the exchange took place. First the Serbs were brought across by ferry from Davor on the Croatian side to Srbac on the Bosnian-Serb side. Then Croatian prisoners were transferred by ferry to the Croatian town of Davor on the opposite bank. Nearly all the prisoners were civilians although seven Croat soldiers and nine Bosnian Serb soldiers also crossed to the other side. With few possessions, exhausted but relieved, they were helped out of the ferry. Old and infirm, they appeared dazed by the swap. The prisoners included some of those wounded in the recent upsurge in fighting.
