So Sam’s club, what’s the hype? If you don’t already know, Hong Kongers are flocking to Shenzhen on the weekends to take advantage of the cheaper prices in terms of shopping and eating out One of the main attractions of going to Shenzhen is going to Sam’s club which is a division Walmart. Unlike Walmart, it’s a member only store and will set you back 260 RMB a year for the membership. It’s follows a similar model to Costco, where you buy in bulk. All in all, I feel like Sam’s club is something you can skip on your visit to Shenzhen, and not worth the hassle. Costco on the other hand, I don’t mind going there every so often to stock up on my bagels.
