Car dealerships are notorious for advertising and selling "hugely discounted" hail damaged vehicles, especially here in Colorado. What most people don't know, is they usually only discount half of what it costs to repair the damage to the vehicle. While it may not always be the case, typically customers don't come out on top when it comes to purchasing a new vehicle that is damaged by hail. If your current vehicle is damaged by hail, wash it, and have it estimated by your insurance company. It's a wise idea to have a local body shop or PDR shop (Or two or three) provide you with an estimate to verify that your insurance adjuster didn't miss anything.
