Einhorn. Das Fabeltier in der Kunst  Wie kein anderes Tier hat das Einhorn die Phantasie angeregt. Seit Jahrhunderten ist es in vielen Kulturen belegt. Die Spur des Einhorns zeigt sich in der christlichen und außereuropäischen Kunst, in Naturwissenschaft und Medizin und einer vielfältigen Symbolik. Die Beschäftigung mit der Ikonographie des Einhorns lädt ein zu Reflexionen über Weltwissen, Ambivalenzen und Projektionen. Zum ersten Mal wird dieses Thema im Überblick von der Antike bis zur zeitgenössischen Kunst erforscht und ausgestellt. Im Gespräch mit Kunsthistoriker:innen und Kurarot:innen führt dieses Video in die Themen der Ausstellung ein. It has been documented in many cultures for centuries. Its fascination continues to this day. The mythical animal is a multi-facetted symbol that emanates associative energy. Tracks of the unicorn can be found in Christian and non-European art, in natural science and medicine and in a wide range of symbols. Studying the iconography of the unicorn invites reflection on fantasy, world knowledge, ambivalences and projections. In conversation with art historians and curators, this video introduces the themes of the exhibition.
