The Alpe di Siusi is one of those locations that needs no introduction. The Sassolungo and Sassopiatto lurking in the background, together with the classic wooden cabins became one of the most instantly-recognizable views of the entire Dolomites and today are an unmissable stop for anyone that is traveling in the area for photography (but not only!). In this episode of "Shooting the Dolomites", as always, I focused on the main bullet points that I always ask myself when I'm planning to visit a new location: when, where and what! We will see together what's the best time of the year to visit the Alpe di Siusi, how to reach this location (which is arguably the trickiest thing because of the messy regulations) and obviously which ones are the best compositions, touching both the classic views and some slightly different and creative takes on the main subjects of the area. The Alpe di Siusi is a place that, no matter how many times I've been there, I can't help but take out my camera every time I'm around again.
