Rehabilitation and transfer using the VENDLET powered turn aid

If the client has physical and cognitive resources, you can activate these resources by letting the client take part in the moving and handling procedures, even if you do the moving and handling procedures mechanically with the VENDLET-system. In this video we show a tuning procedure with a client with resources in three different levels: 1. The client has both physical og cognitive resources enough to do the turning procedure with the VENDLET himself 2. The client has cognitive resources and physical resources in the upper body. Therefor he can operate the VENDLET himself and turn the upper body. He only needs help with the legs. 3. The client has cognitive resources but only physical resources enough to operate the handcontrol of the VENDLET-system. Please note, that you must always make a risk assessment before you let the patient operate the system themselves.
