www.studiobeeproductions.com I finally got around to gathering all the wax I'd been collecting for the last year, and decided it was time to melt it down. Even though it's a lot of work to render the wax, I enjoy doing it because I'm putting back into use a product that is no long viable in the state it is in. If you were to take a look at the wax I had been collecting, you'd have to say to yourself that the stuff was pure junk. Yet, by adding some heat and water, the ugly mass of comb can be transformed into a beautiful block of wax. For me, the process of changing nasty wax to beautiful wax takes at least 2 times of melting and remelting to remove the impurities in the wax, and sometimes even 3 times if there is a bunch of trash in the wax. I wanted to come up with a way that would remove the majority of cocoons and debris without straining it by hand, not waste wax that can be lost in that pile of trash, and if possible, reduce the amount of times of melting and remelting the wax. After carefully considering the equipment I use, and what kind of options I had to reach my goals, I came up with a simple solution that met all three criteria. So, check out the idea I came up with, and if you are lucky, maybe you can incorporate it into your wax rendering process to help you too. Thanks for watching. God's peace to all. Mr. Ed
