My Favourite Day in Sri Lanka: Tuk Tuks, Tea & Kandy Chaos

*since this video was taken, Cyclone Ditwah hit Sri Lanka. Kandy was massively affected and the tourism industry was hit massively during the high season. Janiya is the local guide that took us on the Tuk Tuk tour, and if you’re in Kandy, I really recommend booking a day with him https://tuk-ventures.com/ I think this might have been my favourite day in Sri Lanka. We spent the entire day on a tuk tuk tour around Kandy with our hostel, and it ended up being one of those days where everything just flows. We hung out by the river, visited a tea factory where Abi was fully in her element, stopped at a wood carving house, had lamprais for lunch, explored an Ayurvedic farm, watched a traditional dance performance that was very touristy but still fun, and finished at the Temple of the Sacred Tooth which was unbelievably busy but still worth seeing.
