Looking to take the style of the EP and enhance it with a new source of inspiration, Decision & Regret was the first song written following the EP's release, which was performed at various acoustic shows before the switch to a full band. Decision & Regret, which showcased new elements to the band such as Jeffrey Fisher's guitar solos and fills, Raymond Oller's bringing the rumble from down under, and Adam Sauter's somber incorporation of tambourine and drum rolls, was met with such critical acclaim from our early performances that we decided it should be the first song recorded and released for The Family Tree. Initially released on April 15, 2014, the support from our fans was absolutely overwhelming.
