In celebration of the 150th anniversary of Blackburn Rovers, key figures throughout the club's history will be recognised this season with special Rovers Honour Caps. The first seven recipients were honoured at our first home league game of the season this past weekend: 𝐉𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐞𝐫 - our greatest ever supporter was the first recipient of a #Rovers Honour Cap, received on his behalf by his son, Howard Walker. 𝐑𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐞 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐭𝐨𝐧 - the former #Rovers and England captain's Honour Cap was received by his widow Val Clayton and their son Russell. 𝐁𝐫𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐬 - the legendary #Rovers and England winger's honour cap was collected by his sons Steven and Graham. 𝐓𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐬 - the man affectionately known as Mr Blackburn Rovers had his Honour Cap collected by his daughter, Natalie, and her two daughters. 𝐌𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥 - the 1992 promotion hero and 1995 Premier League title-winner was the first of our 3 honourees with links to yesterday's opponents @bcfc. 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐝 𝐃𝐮𝐧𝐧 - the homegrown hero enjoyed two spells as a player with us, either side of four years at St Andrew’s, before later taking on the roles of Under-21s assistant manager and first team coach. 𝐓𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐌𝐨𝐰𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐲 - our former gaffer, who also had a short spell in charge of Birmingham City in 2024, was the final recipient of an honour cap at yesterday's game. #Rovers #BRFC #BlackburnRovers
