While I was filming in public today, September 29, 2013 in downtown Tokyo, this woman came up to me and started behaving very aggressively towards me! I was quite surprised. She seemed to be complaining that I had shot some still pictures of a group of women who appeared to be models in the distance. She told me not to film them, and I readily agreed, even though I had the legal right to. Actually I wasn't interested in them but I did shoot several pix before she had come up. But even though I agreed to not take any more pictures, she demanded to see the pictures I had already taken and wanted me to erase them. I told her no of course. She didn't like that answer and she was very persistent to try and get me to erase them. This is when she got crazy. She wouldn't stop. She even chased me on my bicycle when I tried to avoid a confrontation and trouble. The laws in Japan are clear: There are no restrictions on photographing in public. Since this was in the open area next to the Tokyo International Forum, a public place, I wasn't about to erase anything. But I was very surprised by her extremely aggressive behavior. She even tried to take my picture on her iphone for some reason. I thought she was going to hit me at the end as I was riding off. It's ironic that she was concerned about me taking still pictures with my Nikon but apparently didn't realize that I was filming everything also with my GoPro helmet videocam. This is the first time I have ever had a problem in Tokyo with someone about filming. GOPR1873
