Thank you! Driving from Bozeman, MT to Big Sky Ski Resort up the Gallatin Canyon via US Highway 191 at dawn. A beautiful drive up the canyon as the sun rises. We left Bozeman around 7 AM. Google says 54 minutes and only 44 miles, but plan on twice that time due to roads and/or slow drivers or trucks (no passing almost the whole way to the ski resort.) Time-lapse takes you directly to the Free Parking where you can hope on the free shuttles which take you to the base area. The come every 5 minutes or so and it's quite nice. Better than walking in Ski boots! See the sun rising on Lone Peak and enjoy the breathtaking views. It's an amazing adventure just getting to the mountain! If you look closely, you can see the new Lone Peak Tram atop the peak. Highly recommend on a clear day for amazing views. The Liberty Bowl black diamond run usually has some decent snow, too.
