Baby massage is a wonderful way to bond with your baby, promote relaxation for both you and baby, and support healthy development. Here’s a simple routine to follow for baby massage: Before You Start: Create a Calm Environment: Make sure the room is warm and free from distractions. Dim the lights, play soft music, or use a calming sound if you like. Use a Baby-Friendly Oil: Use natural, unscented oils such as sunflower oil. An unscented oil will help improve the bonding process. Make sure to patch test the oil before use and use an oi that is at room temperature. Be Gentle: Always use gentle pressure and watch your baby’s reaction. If they seem uncomfortable, stop or adjust your touch. Always be aware of your baby’s cues. If they seem uncomfortable or fussy, try a different technique or take a break. Avoid massaging your baby right after feeding or when they’re overly tired or fussy. About I help people to feel better no matter their age or stage of life through exercise and movement, nutrition and reflexology. It's all about the small changes that can make a big impact on how we feel, our health and wellbeing. Official Bio After leaving her career as a radiographer due to ill health ,Elaine trained in holistic therapies and then yoga and Pilates as she had found them incredibly useful in her own health journey. A deep interest in how nutrition affects health and wellbeing led her to complete a Masters degree in Nutrition from Ulster University in 2020. Raising a family and looking after others Elaine knows that we don’t all have time to spend in a gym or attend regular classes when life gets busy. Her aim is to help busy families stay fit and active and eat healthy (most of the time) through small changes. Elaine classes are short, fun with adaptations to suit all abilities. Elaine is a highly experienced teacher and runs her own training programmes through Calm Confident Training to offer high quality training for those wishing to train in Baby massage, yoga, reflexology and many other courses.
