Montes de Málaga: A hard day on the bike! A tough ride in the Montes de Málaga. No long steady climbs, just repeated steep sections with very little recovery. Stats: • Distance: 100 km • Elevation gain: ~2,500 m Large parts of the route are rough and covered with sharp rocks. I had two punctures, and after the second one I rode the final 20 km on a flat tire, which ended up destroying the wheel. One of the harder rides I’ve done, mainly because of the constant climbing, strong winter winds, the cold, and the surface conditions.
