Marcie Free, vocalist for the melodic rock band Unruly Child, is interviewed by Jason Saulnier on November 3, 2010. Marcie Free is a renowned rock singer who has fronted several notable bands including King Kobra, Signal, and Unruly Child, earning recognition in the melodic rock and AOR scene for a powerful and distinctive vocal style. Born Mark Free (April 12, 1954 – October 24, 2025), Marcie Free first gained prominence as the lead vocalist of King Kobra, the band formed by drummer Carmine Appice. Free later became the voice behind the melodic rock project Signal, and eventually the band Unruly Child, continuing to record and perform music within the rock and AOR genres.
