A single-ship duel between Napoleon Total War's versions of a 24-gun ship (inaccurate model) and a 32-gun frigate armed with carronades (mostly accurate model); this is not intended as an example of good ship-handling (because it's not good). Just testing my upload ability for the first time in years. There is no editing, and the direction is shoddy. I regret nothing. The breaks in the video are where Fraps stops recording because I have the basic version; I have to press F9 every 30 seconds. NTW's version of the sixth-rate has one too many gunports on the upper (main gun) deck, and should have six guns on the quarterdeck (aft, above the upper deck) and four on the forecastle (forward, above the upper deck). The 32 model is missing guns on the quarterdeck and forecastle as well; it's actually a better model for a 24 than a 32, except for the short poop deck (aft of the quarterdeck on the frigate) which would not be present on a sixth-rate. I expect Creative Assembly based their model on the HMS Rose, a sixth-rate replica used in the film Master and Commander; she has twelve guns on the upper deck, but CA left out the guns on the quarterdeck and forecastle.
