BACK-TO-BACK NATIONAL CHAMPIONS! 🏆🏆 The Virginia Tech Drone Racing Team has done it AGAIN! I am proud to announce that VT is the 2025 Collegiate Drone Racing Association 2-PEAT COLLEGIATE CHAMPIONS! Individually, I qualified and placed 2nd overall out of 56 pilots, helping lead the team to victory. We wouldn't have won without the great performances by Wykef placing 4th overall and SonicFPV placing 13th overall. It was an absolute battle in the brackets. I had to work my way through the redemption bracket after getting midaired in the first race. Kevin "Wykef" and I made it to the redemption semifinals, and with the championship on the line, we had a 2 on 2 matchup with Oregon States' fastest pilots. In a crazy race, Wykef and I emerged victorious, clinching the win for the team. In the finals, I knew I had to push like I've never flown before to even challenge 2-time individual college champion Pino. I was leading the race for a solid 7 seconds, then made a critical error allowing him to pull away. Unfortunately DVR was corrupted, it was the fast burst of speed I've ever flown.
