UNUSUAL CASTLE IN ITALY | ROCCHETTA MATTEI

Me and my friends went for a day trip at Emilia-Romagna to visit this unique and unusual castle called, Rocchetta Mattei. We first had lunch at Porretta Terme, which is just 15 minutes away from the castle. After lunch, we went to visit the castle. The castle is located on top the Appenines, between Bologna and Florence. Built in the second half of the nineteenth century by Count Cesare Mattei, it blends various eclectic styles from Medieval to Moorish. After exploring the castle, we've decided to visit a lake nearby called, Lago di Suviana.
