The Hokuryu Sunflower Village took my breath away, and it is honestly the most beautiful and well taken care of garden I have ever seen in my life. We definitely started our sightseeing with a bang. There are lots of flower farms along the National Route 237, also known as the Flower Drive, and the smaller, less popular ones that we chanced upon were just as beautiful and less crowded compared to the big ones that tour groups visit. We based this part of our trip in Asahikawa, and took day trips out to the various places we visited.
