Actone is a hollow wirerope that offers 1-1 torque response in tortuous anatomy of medical device systems. As a wire-wound stainless steel tube, Asahi Intecc can customize the mechanical properties of the shaft in order to meet unique rotation (hand, motor), compression, tensile, flexibility, and distal tip flexibility requirements. As of 2014, Asahi Intecc may coat the inner and outer portions of the actone cable tube, along with attaching hypotubes, gears, screws, housings, and other components to streamline the design process, while offering top tier medical device technology which is similar to many facets of our guidewire and microcatheter technology. The torque coil is a 2 or 3 layer hollow shaft with high speed rotation and excellent NURD properties for minimal lag in either direction.
