Thursday Thing - Aiwa Minidisc 3.7V 700mAh LIB-902 battery adapter

One of Aiwa’s most beautiful MD recorders is the AM-F5. It’s a marvel of utilitarian interface and great sound- if you can deke out the hiss. The buggeriest part about it is its battery, the 3,6V 700mAh LIB-902, which in almost all cases, is dead, dying, or leaking. Recently, a wonderful compatriot at Facebook’s Minidisc page advertised the excellent work of his friend. The work, a shunt for the LIB-902 which will fit a modern LiIon battery, is the subject of this video. Myself and one other member purchased two units each, and wowie, does this shunt work. Sadly, the AM-F5 still hisses like the dickens.
