Watts Hot Water Recirculating Pump Installation and Results with Gas Water Heater.

I finally installed a hot water recirculation pump on our house after 20 years. It took about 90 minutes and cost about $100 (the price has now increased). This video explains the operation of each component of the system, shows how I installed the pump on a gas heater, the temperature-sensing valve that allows the water to recirculate, the timer, and all the plumbing. Then, I used my infrared thermometer to test the results at the furthest faucets from the heater. I also show the external temperature of the pump itself and the effect of the hot water recirculation on the temperature of the cold water from the taps.
