Swan Boat Club Birthday Party Crash

Swan Boat Club birthday party crash video footage captured by body cam of the Monroe County Sheriff's Department in the aftermath of the alleged Marshella Chidester drunk driving incident. According to testimony of Sergeant Michael Bomia, recording is of his arrival to the crash site in response to dispatch notification of a serious injury car crash. Sergeant Bomia testified to observing a large hole in the side of the building and people laying on the ground injured, asking for help. Once inside the pavilion, Sergeant Bomia testified to observing people trapped under the vehicle and several other injured victims. He reports escorting Mrs. Chidester out of the building to secure her in a squad car while he returned to assist in rescue efforts. At initial questioning, Mrs. Chidester claimed she passed out and admitted ingestion of wine approximately 30 minutes prior to the accident. Mrs. Chidester denied arriving at the boat club to attend the party and self-reported a medical history and prescribed medication for seizures. Mrs. Chidester denied need for medical attention. Sergeant Bomia is a 19-year veteran with the Monroe County Sheriffs Department and was on duty as the Shift Supervisor.
