Lochas River - Painting and Travel

Lochsa River - Lolo Pass, Idaho Sarah and Roger spend time by the Lochsa River in Idaho where in 1805 the explorers Lewis and Clark traveled. Sarah and their dog Mic take time in the campground to visit other campers who travel with pets. Roger uses oils to paint in the late afternoon hours with quickly changing shadows before the sun sets. Trying to place darks over lights in oils can create chalky results so Roger demonstrates working with dark tones and following up with lighter ones. He puts the finishing touches on the painting back in his studio.
