Ken Fisher, founder, Executive Chairman and Co-Chief Investment Officer of Fisher Investments, discusses the impact of political uncertainty on markets. Ken says political uncertainty is fear, and fear priced into the market is often a precursor to an up move. Citing historical examples from the 1970s and 1990s, Ken points out that much like today, political turbulence has hit markets before. He says during these periods the fear of what’s driving uncertainty in the market is often bigger than the actual damage those worries likely cause. Ken believes this is likely the case with fears over President Trump’s tariff proposals. For more of Ken Fisher's thoughts on the markets, visit us at https://www.fisherinvestments.com.
