Tonight on The Black Therapy Show, we’re talking about the killing of Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis by an ICE agent — a 37-year-old mother of three who was shot and killed during a federal immigration operation. This feels very familiar to Black Americans, because it mirrors the same patterns of police brutality, injustice, and false narratives that our communities have endured for generations. Many people, including city leaders, say the federal story doesn’t match the video evidence, and protests have erupted across the country demanding accountability. For years, Black people have watched the justice system justify lethal force, distort what really happened, and protect those in power instead of the people. Now that the victim in this case was White, people are seeing what we’ve been talking about for so long — how stories are shaped to protect law enforcement and delegitimize human life. This tragedy isn’t just about one person’s death — it’s about a system that continues to fail all of us. We need truth, healing, and real change — not more excuses or lies from leaders who refuse to acknowledge what their own eyes can see.
