Comping rhythm tutorial on "Freight Trane" a Bird Blues from Berklee's Harmonic Considerations class

This is a comping tutorial I presented in my Harmonic Considerations class at Berklee. It's on the changes of "Freight Trane" by Tommy Flanagan a Bird Blues similar to "Blues for Alice" by Charlie Parker. The focus here is rhythm (in the style of Red Garland)...the assignment for next class is for everyone to comp on this song "narrating" the rhythms they are playing (as demonstrated). The key is to be focused and have a clear concept of how rhythms (and articulations) contribute to swing - remember you are in the RHYTHM SECTION! So have great harmony, chord voicings and voice leading but SWING!
